Another year, another 4th of July picnic at the ranch - the 43rd! This year was refreshingly cooler. Lots of fun as usual

It’s Father’s Day again - and we celebrated Dad at the Left Bank again.
Dad and I are very similar in our interests and our temperament - which means we are really mates, that argue sometimes. Disneyland trip with my bros to celebrate 8th grade graduation! Nick, Gerry and I have been together since kindergarten ( we also met Aiden in Miss Pam’s class when we were in kindergarten and he was in preschool). Nick and Gerry chose to go to Redwood for 9th instead of staying at MMS, I will miss them!
Lucasfilm doesn’t just make Star Wars, they make Indiana Jones too! Tonight I was lucky enough to be mum’s plus one at the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny world Premiere. I was incredibly excited when Harrison Ford himself came on stage.
It was also cool to see the costumes and props. I may have taken a little nap in the middle of the film because it was quite long, but what I saw, I enjoyed! We stayed at the Hollywood Roosevelt which is an iconic ‘old Hollywood’ classic that Marilyn Monroe used to stay at. It was also the same place that the after party was so i could escape upstairs when all the schmoozing got a little much. Mum was on a zoom from home with Dave Filoni today and Annie popped up to give her a hug as she usually does - she is so nosy. Annie looks almost identical to Dave’s dog, Wolfie so he was very happy to see her. So happy that he drew a sketch of her.
Today was 8th grade graduation day - end of an era! I am staying on for the full 9th year cycle so that’s why I have a Lei. I didn’t have to do a speech but much to Mums surprise I did have to play the piano. I decided it would be better not to practice as that would spoil the surprise.
Nick and Gerry are off to Redwood Highschool next year - Jens and I will miss them. Mum is like the Queen so we celebrated her birthday twice. Once on the day with pizza at Piccos with MB and the Taylors and then the next night with dinner with the Massive. I wrote her a letter to the Best Mum EVA which she said was the best gift I could have given her.
Our Eighth grade year is coming to a close and many of my friends are heading off to different schools. We all got together with our parents for a barbecue on Muir Beach. Nick and I spent most of our time digging a hole and jumping in. Well to be honest, he did all the digging but we shared the jumping. Mum was very worried that it wasn’t a good idea. Annie was very confused.
