![]() I love it in daycare with my teachers - Kathy, Gracie, Jennifer, Heather, Kim, Rebecca, Ebony and Laine and all my friends. And the best part is that I get to play with Mummy and Daddy lots of times during the day. Here’s a picture of my class! And here's my first school report! I think I got an A :-)
Tomos has a great time every day playing with friends and caregivers in the Butterbee room. He is very social, and has a special affinity for the ladies. He's quite a flirt and is not shy about it in the least. He makes very funny faces and equally funny noises to get attention from the girls, and it always works! He is very secure and happy being with us here at school. He has gotten used to the more traditional toddler schedule, even his napping has gotten a bit better over these last few weeks. He will sometimes have a hard time saying goodbye to Mom or Dad, but is quickly distracted by activity or a friend. In general, Tomos is a happy, very well adjusted and confident toddler. Tomos is working very hard on his walking. Every chance he gets, he will use the variety of walkers in the room to practice. We've seen him take a couple of steps at a time, unassisted, and are sure that he will be walking on his own very soon. He very much enjoys climbing and climbs the two structures we have in the room a lot throughout the day. He likes to climb in and out of boxes and get himself in and out of tight spaces. His latest trick is to climb the shelves of our bookshelf. He gets himself into tight spots sometimes, and I try to allow him to figure it our himself before stepping in. He does tend to take a lot of chances physically. I see bumps and bruises in his future, as he is a bit of a daredevil! He watches people and how people do things very carefully. He has an analytical personality and will watch how something is done and then try it himself. He is also willing and able to jump right into an activity. He's happy to try anything new, and will participate in every activity offered. He loves singing and music time, and has started to actually imitate some of the hand motions to songs such as "Twinkle Twinkle.' Tomos is an incredibly charming and appealing young man. He has an amazing sense of humor, and he also seems to know how wonderful he is. He gets along with all his caregivers, and will let every one of us take care of him, i.e. feed him, give him a nap, play with him, hold him, and he shares his wonderful hugs with all of us. He also knows how to tell us all if he gets mad at us for some reason or another. For instance, he is not crazy about having his diaper changed, and he has no problem letting you know about it. A very clear and loud grunt will come out of that cute face, and he looks at you as if you are the most awful person in the world. But once it's all over, and he's back to doing what he was doing before being so rudely interrupted, he's back to his charming, silly self ready to give you a sweet hug and a little pat on the back. Tomos is a truly unique individual, and I feel especially lucky to be able to work with him, watch him learn and grow, and get to know him. Tomos is doing great, he's right on track - No concerns at this time
