It is New Years Eve! Tomorrow with be 2013 - can you believe it? I will be 5 this year! That's almost old enough to drive a car!
We had a nice dinner at Nana's house then I stayed home with Nana while Mummy and Daddy went out to Tenby with Aunty Sian and Uncle Teeny and Becca and Duncan. Everybody piles out of the pubs into the town square to greet the New Year at Midnight. Mummy said it was fun but she wasn't happy that they played Gangham style at midnight instead of Auld Land Syne! I don't know why she didn't like it because I know she knows how to do the dance - I taught her! Nana and I didn't sing but we had a nice cuddle. Happy New Year everyone!

  It is Christmas Day! This year I was very excited. I now know all about presents and Santa and I was hoping he would remember that I was staying at Nana's house. He did! When I woke up I was very excited to find a sack full of presents at the end of the bed! The best present of all was that Nana was there to help me unwrap them and that I could hear my cousins in their bedroom next door excitedly unwrapping their gifts too!  Then it was downstairs for Christmas dinner and more present opening! Because I know how to spell my name now i could go to the pile under the Christmas tree and find the packages meant for me! i am a very lucky boy!  The best thing about Christmas is that we are all together. I got to build forts and play with my cousins and gets lots of cuddles from my Nana and Uncles and Aunties and older cousins. No wonder it is called the most wonderful time of the year!
 Today was a fun day! Daddy's family all met up in a restaurant and we had Christmas Dinner together. Well, I had Pizza and everyone else had Christmas dinner - but at least I ate!  My Cousin Meli couldn't be there because she's a doggie and the restaurant said she couldn't come. May be they didn't have doggie chairs? I was sorry that I didn't get to see her, but she wrote me a letter which Aunty Jenn read to me.  Then we went back to Aunty Kim and Uncle Seamus' house to chat and listen to music. I got to play with my cousins!  Best of all, we did one of my favorite things in the whole world together - a Jigsaw! It was a very tricky one, but with my help they managed to finish it.
Tonight we went to see something called a Pantomine with Aunty Cate, Uncle Mark, Sam, Charlie and Milly. Oh no we didn't! Oh, yes we did!
I have to be honest I didn't quite get it. I watched it with a kind of shocked and confused expression. I couldn't quite understand why Mummy (and everyone else) kept yelling out things to the people on stage! I was always told I had to be quiet when I went to watch something at the theatre. I am very confused. I did like it when they inexplicably broke out into the Gangham Style song in the middle t 
 Today we wet into central London to see my Uncles. We went to lunch then we had coffee in a coffee shop that had a wall of mirrors - I loved it!
 Every year all the classes in daycare have a holiday singalong. They don't sing any Wiggles songs so I am not that into the singing but I do love getting together with my Mummy and Daddy and all my friends. And I do love to hear Teacher Vince sing - he is just like Greg Wiggle!
A package arrived on our doorstep all the way from the North Pole! Santa sent an Elf to live with us until Christmas! When you name your Elf he is given magic which allows him to fly back every night to Santa and let him know that you have been a good boy and what you are wishing for. I named him Monkey. He is amazing. I know that he flies back to the North Pole every night because every morning he is sitting in a different place!
 Today was my birthday party! I invited all my friends from the Shark Room and we had a brilliant time! There was a bouncy castle!  And arts and crafts - i painted a great airplane!  And funny goopy beady stuff to mold. I made a snowman  And face painting. I had a shark painted on my cheek!  And building blocks to build - and knock down again!  Outside there was a boat to explore with my friends.  And a building site..  And a tower to climb!  And place to pose and look cute.  I had a a great Cars cake!  I wasn't too interested in eating it again but I did dig my hands into the cream and wipe it all over Daddy's face!  With all that activity, it's no wonder I passed out in the car on the way home!  But its a good job i did because I needed the energy to open up all the presents from my lovely friends!
 In the Shark Room we have a pet called Sammy the Shark. He gets to go home for the weekend with the Shark who has been the best listener and the kindest friend. this week, that was me! My teachers said I had been a good boy all week and I had been very nice to all my friends - which isn't hard because I like them!
So Sammy got to come home with me and boy did he pick the right weekend! He came to my birthday party AND he helped us put our Christmas tree up! |
