Today my friends in the Teddybear room held a celebration for my birthday! Mummy brought in cupcakes for us and my hero, Teacher Vince, made me a crown to wear! I was still a little shy when they sang to me, but I did like celebrating with all my friends - and I really liked my crown! I think I could get used to this!

Today is my Birthday! I can’t believe I am 3 already! I have grown so much over the last year (even if it isn’t quite as much as I am supposed to have grown!) I am almost 35 inches tall and 25lbs which isn’t very big, but I am very very fast and strong. I can talk in sentences and know over 100 words - even if they are not very easy for other people to understand. I know what I am saying ( and so do my Mummy and Daddy most of the time) and what I don’t have in clarity, I make up for in volume! I can count to 11 and I often get it in the right order. I know some of my letters and all of my shapes and colours. I love to draw and I can draw faces with two eyes, a nose and a mouth and lots of hair and I can draw a letter T for Tom. I love doing jigsaw puzzles but my favourite all time thing to do is... Dancing! I knew today was going to be a special day but I couldn’t believe my eyes when I woke up in the morning and saw all my presents! Some were from Mummy and Daddy and some had come all the way from London, Wales and France from my lovely family. I didn’t know which one to open first! The first one I decided to open was from Nana. It was a Wiggles GUITAR!! My dream come true. I was so excited that I squealed! I insisted on going to get my Captain Feathersword hat straight away so that I could look the part while I sang along to the music. I was having so much fun that it took some persuasion for me to put down my guitar and open up another present. But I am glad I did because it was a Pop up Pirate game from Aunty Kim and Uncle Seamus. Its a great game - especially as it makes Mummy jump every single time the Pirate pops up! Silly Mummy! Then I opened some jigsaws from Aunty Tricia and Uncle Colum. I love jigsaws - and especially these ones because they were pictures of trucks! And Lola gave me toys from Aladdin which is my favourite movie at the moment - I love the Genie! When I finished opening my presents, I settled into my brilliant new red wagon from Uncle Ga and Aunty Kate with my new best friend Pooh from my Aunty Sian and Uncle Teeny and watched a new DVD from the best pop group in the world - The Wiggles! What a perfect start to a perfect birthday! I am such a lucky boy and so thankful for all my family and friends who spoiled me rotten on my special day. xxx To celebrate my birthday, Mummy and Daddy took me to see my very first film at the Cinema! We went to see The Muppets! I couldn’t believe how big the TV was at the Cinema. It was huge! I was a very good boy and sat and watched the whole movie. I even got up occasionally to shout to the people in front of us and behind us to remind them which movie we were watching. I didn’t like the popcorn though. Then it was home for more candles and more wishes! Today is Thanksgiving. We went to Paul and Meena and Ruby and Lily’s house. It was great fun. I got to play with all of Ruby and Lily’s toys! I didn’t want to eat any turkey but it was fun to watch everyone else eat.
During circle time in daycare yesterday, Teacher Vince asked us what we were thankful for. I said “ducks”. I do like ducks but what I am really thankful for is all my lovely family and friends and my furry sister Lola. I love giving hugs to show people how much I love them and I feel very lucky that I have so many wonderful people in my life that love me too. Today was a double treat day! Mummy was opening a parcel thinking it was something she had ordered for herself. Imagine her surprise and my glee when she open the box and there was Winnie the Pooh! She tried to be quick and close it before I noticed but I saw him straight away! Pooh was a present from my Aunty Sian and Uncle Teeny and was supposed to be for my birthday - but Mummy said that I could have him early! So tonight I watched my new Winnie the Pooh DVD with my new best friend Pooh! Today my friends Ruby and Lily came to play. I pretended to be a monster and chased them around and they screamed and then chased me back. It was great fun! I am really good at being a monster.
Today we had a party at the Discovery Museum to celebrate my birthday! All my friends from the TeddyBear class were there and so were Sam and Charlie, Ruby and Lily and Lucy and Piper and their Mummies and Daddies. I was a little overwhelmed and shy at first., but I soon warmed up. There was lots of great things to do. There were model airplanes to paint And animal toys to play with with all my friends There were drums and instruments to make music with There was a lady painting faces There was lots of food - and I even ate some And then there was cake! I was a little shy when everyone was singing to me, but I loved blowing out the candles and making a wish! I can tell by their faces that Mummy and Daddy’s wish has already come true! |
