Today was packed full of fun! First we took Lola for a long walk to a dog park - that had a park for human kids too!! I had a great time on the swings, swinging between Mummy and Mick! Then I had a go on the slide and the seesaw! I was so exhausted after all the fun in the fresh air, that I fell asleep in the baby carrier on the way back! But the fun didn’t stop then! I wanted to show Uncle Mick and Aunty Deb how much fun swimming is, so they came to my swimming lesson. I am so comfortable in the water now, I will happily float upside down and jump down the slide. I have also figured out how to kick underwater! Great fun!

Today we went up to a lovely house in Napa to spend the weekend. Uncle Mick and Aunty Deb, Uncle Warren and Aunty Joy and Piper and Lucy were there too, and Lola and Mummy and Daddy of course. It was a beautiful place with a pool (for Lola - and Daddy - to jump in!) and a hot tub and an outside firepit and barbeque and gorgeous views and miles and miles of vineyards for Lola to run around in. But my favourite place to be was inside playing with Uncle Mick Or reading to Uncle Warren Or going out for breakfast with Daddy We were all having so much fun, so we were sad when we had to leave because there was a power cut and we had no electricity or water - I still don’t quite understand why Mummy said we had to come home! But before we left we had a lovely time watching sitting around the fire and watching the sun set Lola and I are going to ask if we can go again in the summer. Its my birthday!! A whole year has gone by since I arrived! I can’t quite believe it - and Mummy has looked a little shellshocked all day too! ( Not unlike the way she looked when I first saw her!) I had a brilliant day. My Uncle Mick and Auntie Deb came all the way over from London to celebrate with me, and I had lots of visits and calls from friends and family all over the world. It was also Thanksgiving Day and Mummy and Daddy said they had a lot to be thankful for - I did too... look at all my presents!! We had a big meal and a party at our house. Uncle Paul and Aunty Meena, and Ruby and Lily and Uncle Warren and Aunty Joy and Lucy and Piper were all there too. First, we had dinner - my first Thanksgiving Dinner. I ate a tiny bit of Turkey but I wasn’t very impressed. I don’t think it was Mummy’s cooking because everyone else ate it - or perhaps they were just being polite? Then it was time for cake! I huffed and I puffed ( or Mummy and Daddy did - I thought it was very funny) and I made a wish and blew out my candle! Then it was time to open presents!! I can’t believe what a lucky boy I am to have had so many people think of me on my special day. I had a train set, and lots of books, a tricycle, my own laptop ( really!), a set of StarWars dishes, a fire-engine, a garage, a school-bus, a walker and lots of clothes - even my very own Arsenal football kit! I was very tired at the end of the day but I had so much fun. I can’t believe what a grown up boy I am now. I am very thankful for all the lovely lovely people in my life and I can’t wait to see what the next year brings! I lucky that I get to go to work with Mummy and Daddy to play with my friends and lovely teachers. They made me a special card. I love them too!
