We had a School of Rock gig at the Sweetwater today. It is always really fun to get to play in a very cool venue. I could get used to this

Dad's youngest brother, my Uncle Colum is 60 years old today so Dad went home to surprise him at his birthday lunch. He flew home for just a few days - and I don't think he slept much while he was there!
Gracie is a big sister! Annie Gwyneth Dot Mead arrived today and she is gorgeous.
Greenday is one of my favorite bands and inspired me to learn to play the guitar so I was so happy that I got to go and see them at Oracle Park tonight. Both Mum and Dad bought tickets - so we got to invite friends. Gerry and his mum and dad. They played for nearly 3 hours and were brilliant.
 We are pretty sure Annie is not a dog. She is a muppet.
Elon Musk has lost the plot. He is pouring millions into getting Donald Trump re-elected and keeps saying the most outrageous sexist and racist things and is determined to undermine all the systems in the country that look after older people and people who need support. We like our Tesla but don't like that it supports him. Also it didn't match the new house, so we traded it in for a car that did. Not too shabby.
Zane is used to being and indoor/outdoor cat but we are worried about letting him outside in our new house because a) he may get lost as it is unfamiliar and b) we are a lot closer to the mountains and coyotes. So Mum thought he would enjoy a nice walk outside in the garden on a leash. He didn’t Dad isn't a fan of going to awards shows and Mum has to go to a lot, so she has taken to inviting different friends each time. This time it was Aunty Cate who has been her bestie since college days. Cate flew all the way to LA for the weekend! They had a lot of fun.
They say home is where the heart is. In my case home is where my cat ( and my heart) is. Zaney is settling in to his new home - even though he is not allowed outside (beyond the balcony). I don't think he minds too much, he seems to know he is safe here.
We have lived in 19 Baltimore Ave since before I was born so it is very weird to think that someone else will live there now. As much as we love our new house, we all have incredibly fond memories of 19 Baltimore and all miss it. That said , it has been painted and staged for sale and it doesn't look or feel like our house any more. I hope the people who buy it are as happy there as we were.
