ILM worked with ABBA to create this really cool show in London. It looks and feels like you have jumped in a time machine and gone back to the 1970’s to a huge ABBA concert. They look like they are real on the stage - but it is all an illusion made in the computer by ILM.
Mum has been to the show a few times but wanted to bring her family so we got a booth - which was like a mini dance floor just for us and the grown ups went wild.

We are having quite the European tour this summer. London, Crete, london, Paris, London!
Mum took me to a really cool exhibit in the Science Museum that had every type of computer console to play that has ever been invented. I LOVE retro electronics so this was perfect for me! There was also a very cool SCIFi exhibition there with some of my favorites. We also went to Camden Town which included some guitar shops of course, and had a Rock Band session - in which the parents were embarrassing. We also went to Covent Garden where Dad got roped into the act - which he loved. One of the best things about London is that it is so close to Europe. We went to a whole other country BY TRAIN! Central London to Central Paris in about 2 hours! The train went through a tunnel under the sea and then we emerged in France.
It was Mum and my first time in Paris. Dad had been before and we also met up with the Taylors who had been many times before ( Michael is half French) so they could show us around. My favorite part was the river boat trip - especially seeing the Eiffel Tower lit up. I also liked the electric bike rides around the city. I did not like getting stomach flu and decorating the streets of paris. I don’t think that is the kind of art that the city is famous for. Another summer, another incredible holiday with my family - this time with a new addition! Gracie was in Milly’s tummy last vacation.
This year we chose Crete - the biggest Greek Island. It was beyond beautiful, though very very hot. Dad and I kept having to be nagged out of the air-conditioning to hang out at the beautiful pool with my family. Mum kept reminding me that it used to be that I had to be nagged to get OUT of the pool! Now I prefer to sketch in the shade. We visited some really cool old towns like Rethymno and Chania. We took an amazing boat trip to gorgeous lagoon and Elafonissi Beach. We also visited a mountain lake which was really different and so weird to see this incredibly clear water up a mountain. They had these paddle boats with slides on them that were fun. I preferred the beach next to the house as it had some waves to surf - though Uncle Teeny kept getting told off ( nothing new there!). Lots of amazing meals with the family - both cooked for us at the house ( where I think they thought they were catering for 50) and at really cool seaside restaurants. On our last day we went to Knossos Palace in Heraklion before heading to the airport. It was very interesting and very very hot. The best thing, as always, was making memories with our family. |
