I love Tahoe, but I don’t like being away from Zane - so this time I got the best of worlds, Tahoe AND Zane! He wasn’t a fan of the car ride but once we got to the house and he checked out every single nook and cranny of it, he decided he was very happy and at home in his new home. He needs to be an indoor kitty in Tahoe but we got him a harness and a leash so he can explore outside. He is not so desperate to go out now though since he was looking out the window and saw a bear walking along our front lawn! So he has decided that snoozing indoors is a pretty good life.

 One of the worst things about this pandemic is that I don’t get to hang out with my friends. We do zoom play dates, but they are not the same. Today I was so happy because one of my best friends, Jens came over and we got to splash around in the back yard and throw water at each other and play spies and generally have a really good laugh. Where there is a will, there is a way!
Mummy was working today so Cathy took Aiden and I up to MB’s house for a fun day at the pool. It was lovely to be able to play in the cool water on a hot day, but mainly it was lovely to spend time with MB! Because Covid, we haven’t been able to see each other as much as we miss each other.
Today was a brilliant day. My ex-Marin Montessori friend Sammy lives in Tahoe full time now and she has a speedboat. Her Mum and Dad invited us and the Taylors for a day out on Lake Tahoe. It was absolutely fantastic! Sammy’s Dad zoomed us across the lake and we loved screaming at the front as we bounced over the waves. Then we all had turns being dragged behind on the ring float. I kept saying to go faster and faster! I even forgot how cold the water was! Brilliant fun - and very pretty too. This is the Tahoe life.
Today was the perfect day to float down a river. We all piled in the boat - dogs and all and had a lovely time floating down the river. Sometimes the rapids were quite fast which was very exciting - so exciting that one time I fell in! The Taylors came with us too and had their own boat. None of us were terribly good at steering but we had fun!
No fireworks this year because of COVID but we had a really lovely day in Tahoe. We took the gondola up the mountain ( which Leia was not at all happy about) and then hiked all the way down. Daddy was so happy he broke out in song!
