We are back in Tahoe - and this time there was no snow! Nice and sunny and warm - though I have to admit the lake was a bit chilly! Lola didn’t seem to mind though and even Leia had a dip! There is also a great pool near our house which is more my temperature!

Today is Fathers Day so we went out to dinner to celebrate my Dad. We can’t eat indoors during the pandemic so we had a table outside. Even though it is June, it can be very cold by the bay in San Francisco so we ended up taking our dinner to go!
We made it to the end of term! Usually we have a celebration but because of Covid we can’t be together, so we all drove through the school car park to wave to our teachers and friends instead.
Even though we are in Tahoe, I am still able to attend school. Minnie asked us to do a poster to celebrate the front line workers. I like super hero movies but our health workers are the true heroes
Can you believe that it is snowing in June?? Lola is extremely happy about it - she LOVES the snow. I enjoyed getting in to the toasty warm hot tub in the snow!
Today is an exciting day because not only is it Mummy’s birthday but we are getting to spend it up in our new house in Tahoe! We bought it in January but because of lock down we haven’t been able to set foot in it until this weekend.
We had a lovely walk around Donner Lake and Lola went for a swim. Brrrr! Our lovely neighbors Myrna and Sheila are moving to Arizona! I have known them since before I was born so I am really sad I won’t see them every day. We wanted to take a picture with the whole family so that they could remember us. It is not easy to get everyone to look at the camera!
Last week, a black man called George Floyd was killed by the police as they arrested him. He wasn’t armed but they were so rough with him when they arrested him that he died. This keeps happening with Black people and it is not OK. Another man call Armand Aumery was shot just because he was going for a jog in his neighborhood. I can not imagine being scared to go out just because of the color of my skin. Black Lives Matter and sadly, some people need to be reminded of that. There is still a lot of racism and hatred in this country and around the world . It isn’t right.
I wrote this note and I went on my first protest march to add my voice to the Black Lives Matter movement and to remember George Floyd and all the other people who are not treated fairly just because of the color of their skin. We needed to present a science topic so I decided to do it on the journey to the moon. I finished building the very cool lego model of the Saturn V rocket that Uncle Ga and Aunty Kate gave me for my birthday so I could use it in my presentation.
