I’m half a year old today! I can’t believe how quickly time has flown!
I can now roll over and over from one end of the room to the other - usually so that I can go and play with Lola. I am also trying to figure out how to crawl - I can lift myself up on my arms and wriggle my legs but so far I don’t move very far! I can sit up but after about a minute I flop forward a bit and hold myself on my arms. I also like to hold my own bottle and I even manage to get it into the vicinity of my mouth most of the time. I love to play on my play mat and in my exersaucer and I really love my mirror because there is a very cute baby in there that makes me laugh all the time! I find lots of things very funny - especially peeing on Mummy or Daddy when they change my nappy! My favourite song is Over the Rainbow - especially when my Mummy sings it to me when I am going to sleep. I have squashed quite a lot into my first 6 months and I have had a lot of fun so far. I can’t wait to see what the next 6 months brings!

I have my first tooth! Teething is a very soggy business! I seem to be drooling all the time and I want to put absolutely everything in my mouth. It is annoying me, but Mummy says that I am dealing with it amazingly well and I haven’t been crying - just doing a lot of shouting!
Today, I had my first ‘solid’ food. I had brown rice cereal mixed with formula. I had been looking forward to solid food because the food Mummy and Daddy eat looks and smells very yummy. I don’t think they can have given me the same stuff, because I didn’t enjoy it at all! I quite liked the spoon and the silly faces Mummy was making, but the food was yucky.
Mummy is sad today because, after 7 months off, it was time to go back to work. She likes her job very much but she was very sad that she wasn’t going to spend all day with me. The good news is that my Dad is now going to spend the next 3 months home with me until I go into work with them both in August. Dad and I are having lots of fun together and we are both very happy to see Mummy at the end of the day. I give her a big special smile when she comes in.
I know that she misses me, so I make sure I wake up at least once a night now so that she can get to see me some more. I am sure she appreciates it. 
 Today is Mother’s Day in the USA ( its a different day in the UK). Lola and I treated Mummy to some lovely topaz earrings. Topaz is my birthstone. She said that we had very good taste.
We then went for a walk on Limatour beach in Point Reyes. It is a beautiful beach but it was very windy so I didn’t enjoy it very much. Lola, on the other paw, had a wonderful time. 
Tonight is our last night in Hawaii - until next time. I am sad that our holiday is over but I am very excited to be going home to see Lola. We all missed her very much.
