My Doctors discovered that I can't hear properly in my left ear so today I had to go to hospital so they can have a good look inside and see what is going on. I had to put a funny dress on that opened in the back. Mummy and Daddy said I looked very cute walking down the corridor to the operating room holding the doctors hand with my bottom hanging out. Buzz Lightyear and Mummy came into the operating theater too. Both Buzz and I got to play with these cool masks and then I can't remember what happened next because I must have fallen asleep!
I was not happy at all when I woke up because there were all sorts of tubes and wires in me. I let the nurses (and the whole ward) know how unhappy I was about it so Mummy persuaded them to take the tubes out of me. I was perfectly fine after that. The really weird thing is that I can hear all sorts of things now that I couldn't before - imagine what I have been missing! I can even hear myself speak so I have decided that I am going to practice that some more now that I can hear.

Mummy is convinced that Daddy's midlife crisis is officially here. He has taken up surfing. Lola and I don't mind because we get to go to the beach and watch! We had a great time playing around on the sand but Mummy was not happy at all when I suddenly decided to make a run for it and jump into the ocean on my own with all my clothes on. I was quite impressed by how fast she ran down the beach after me to catch me. She wasn't quite so impressed that we both got soaking wet, or that I did it in the first place when I had promised to stay away from the ocean edge. In my defense, I was trying to stay away from the edge, I didn't know she meant to stay on the sand side of it. I got to watch Mummy doing a quick speech to the company today. To encourage her, I yelled "Great Job Mummy!" all the way through it. I am sure that helped her. The party was to celebrate their Oscar nomination for their work on The Avengers. So I wore my Avengers TShirt - or as I call them "Iron Man, that one, that one and that one". Best thing about it was that I got to play with my friend Will. He is my Sharkroom friend Tori's older brother. So that means he is very cool. Today was my friend Bubbles' ( aka Juliet) birthday party! Bubbles and I have been in daycare together since we were 5 months old so we are very close. She had her party at a Gymnasium. It was brilliant fun! It turns out I am pretty good at the balance beam and really good on the trampoline! As you may know, I am not a fan of cake or anything sweet for that matter. But because Juliet is such a good friend, I wanted to make her happy so I took a big bite and rubbed my tummy and said "Mmmmmm". Then I discreetly turned around and spit it out into Mummy's hand. I think that was quite smooth. Mummy had to go to London to go and see the Chancellor of the Exchequer. I have no idea what that means and I am not happy about it. She isn't happy about it either. She hates to be away from me and Daddy and Lola, she hates to travel and she is not too keen on politicians either! She took this picture of me as we hugged goodbye so that she could keep giving me kisses even when she was away. We also did lots of FaceTime chats which made it a little easier She said it turned out to be an interesting visit and quite amusing getting Lightsabers through Downing Street security! |
